What we did

This project was completed as WEBCO INTECH a joint venture.

A multi-phase project across a full city block, this project required careful coordination to demolish an existing three-story residence hall built in 1977.

The structure consisted of slab on grade with block and precast concrete plank construction with wood roof trusses.

The demolition of this facility was completed in two phases due to the building housing a high voltage switchgear that served multiple surrounding buildings.

Phase one demolition created the space required for the new switchgear building to be constructed and new gear and high voltage services delivered and energized.

All existing buildings were carefully switched over to the new service prior to the demolition of the remaining structure.

Upon completion, the footprint of the former residence hall is now the largest green space on Drexel’s campus creating warm and inviting outdoor space for students, faculty and surrounding neighbors.
